Some suggestions to add to your dental resolutions list:
- Resolve to brush your teeth twice a day. If you have formed the habit of falling asleep before your nighttime brushing routine, this can be harmful to your oral health. Adjust your brushing time to earlier in the evening if you struggle to stay awake for that final brush before bed. The American Dental Association recommends your brush twice a day with a soft-bristled brush.
- Resolve to floss one time per day. Have you decided that an occasional flossing is better than no flossing at all? If so, this is harmful to your teeth. The American Dental Association recommends flossing between your teeth once per day to help prevent cavities and gum disease.
